I can hardly believe that it’s nearly been two months since I released Jayne’s Endeavour!! It’s seems so strange when I think of it! 😉 For so long, I just imagined publishing my first novel and now . . . it’s actually done!
And the good news is, I now feel more refreshed and invigorated to get back into writing (after spending so much time on editing!). 😀
So this month I’ve been diving back into Book 2 of The JOY Series (after having waaaay too long a break from it)! 🙂 I’d certainly appreciate your prayers that God would guide my words for His glory and for help as I work out some plot threads!
I’m really grateful to have had some extra motivation to help me get re-started! Because . . .
Yep! For the entire month of July, I’m “attending” The King’s Daughters’ Writing Camp! While I haven’t gotten much writing done so far (more re-reading and going over plot notes), it’s been encouraging to connect with so many other Christian writers. A big thank you to Rebekah Morris and everyone else who was involved in putting this camp together!! 😀
Its been a great opportunity to get a big dose of enthusiasm, set goals, and talk writing. 😀 And the best part is that the “camp” is full of girls who love God and are seeking to honour Him. 😀
And now I wanted to share a little something else with you all . . . As some of you already know, I’ve written a few blog posts in the past on true joy and finding our joy in God. Which is no surprise since Jayne’s Endeavour is part of The JOY Series after all!! 😉
I recently re-watched a short video that illustrates the joy that can be ours when we truly delight in God. So since it relates so well to the theme of my series, I decided to go ahead and share it with you all.
It’s a little glimpse into the story of one Jewish woman who survived the Holocaust as a child and went on to come to faith in her Messiah–Yeshua (Jesus). And the deep-rooted joy she found as a result!
Seeing her joy and her heart that absolutely overflows with praise is so amazing! And it so perfectly illustrates the joy that can be ours when we delight in our Heavenly Father–no matter the circumstances! 🙂
“Jayne.” Jed’s voice was firm but kind. When she met his eyes,Jayne’s Endeavour, Chapter 13
he went on. “Your parents would expect no less of you. God
will provide and give you strength as you need it. Ask Him for
wisdom. Delight yourself in Him, and He will give you strength
and joy in every situation.”
May your joy always be found in Him! 😀
Do you have any favourite Scripture verses that relate to being joyful or rejoicing?? Be sure to share them with everyone in the comments! 😀
