Well, it’s been waaaay too long since I did my last post!! 🙁 Sorry for not keeping up with posting! But I’m back on the blog again so hopefully I will be somewhat better again. 🙂 Blogging certainly takes some dedication. 😉
Part of the reason for my lack of posting is because my family moved houses lately! Our new house has a huge native garden (major learning curve coming up!), and I’m so in awe of the beautiful creation that is all around us! There is such diversity in God’s creation. And with all the beautiful plants comes a lot of lovely birds as well. We’re very blessed! 😀
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?Luke 12:27-28
It has a lot of scope for writing Aussie novels. 😀 😀 Especially the bush part around the winter creek that runs through our paddocks. I went walking there recently and it made my mind go to my novels and writing! Definitely a good source of fuel for getting my creative juices going!
So without further delay, I want to share some pictures from our new property with you all. 😀
There are so many trees with different sized and shaped nuts on them. This is some sort of flowering gum tree, I think. We’ve been collecting the fallen gumnuts to sell for craft projects. These are some of the bigger types, but they range from really small to more this size and everything in between. Let’s just say collecting nuts off the ground takes a long time to get a bucketful!! 😀 Not that we collected the really little ones. 😛
These are amazing! God is such an awesome designer!! My sister took this photo, and it’s pretty cool how it shows the three stages of the flower–one completely closed, one about to pop open, and one in it’s full beauty!
These are called Everlasting Daisies. 🙂 They are “dry” flowers and kind of paper like. You can wire the flower heads and make posies that last for ages! They come in other colours too–pink, orange, red etc.
And last of all a picture of a flowering gum tree which actually has flowers on it! 😀
There are so many other types of flowers, trees, shrubs, and nuts/seeds to admire. I’m truly in awe of what an awesome God we serve!
O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth.
Which photo is your favourite? 😀
